Recognizing Your Self-Worth – YOU are Amazing!

What if I told you that you’re already amazing, right here and now?

Not because of what you’ve achieved, or what you’re working toward, but simply because of who you are.

We don’t always see it, though, do we? It’s easy to lose sight of our own greatness, especially when doubts creep in or we’re caught in the hustle of striving for more. But what if, instead of constantly chasing our expectations or ideas of self-worth, you stopped for a moment to simply recognize it? Because the truth is, you don’t have to earn your amazingness. It’s already there, just waiting for you to notice.

A Note from The Universe

A note I recently read from The Universe Talks (TUT.com) “sparked” this article, summing it up beautifully, and I’d like to share it with you. It goes like this:

What if, (you), the coolest person on the planet didn’t know they were the coolest person on the planet, because of a few self-doubts, a few trace fears, or the occasional twang of inadequacy?

Or because they somehow thought fame, wealth, or popularity mattered?

Or because they just didn’t know the effect they had on others?

It would be a pity, huh? A travesty.

And, of course, telling them wouldn’t achieve much because they’d never believe you. They’d be too modest to accept it. Too naïve to see it. And… too cool to think it mattered.

So… well… ah… let’s just leave it at that.

Recognizing Your Self-Worth

When I read this, I couldn’t help but think: What if we all started seeing ourselves as the coolest person on the planet right now?

Not in a “better than others” kind of way, but in a way that acknowledges the truth of your uniqueness, your innate contributions, and your undeniable worth. You’ve already impacted people in ways you may never even realize. That compliment you gave, the help you offered, or even just your presence in someone’s life—these things matter. You matter.

A Conversation with a Friend

Recently, I had a conversation with a friend who wasn’t seeing their value. They felt like their life didn’t “add up to much,” their contributions seemed minimal, and they didn’t feel they had much to “offer.” My soul was screaming, “CAN’T YOU SEE HOW AMAZING YOU ALREADY ARE?” But instead of shouting from the mountaintop, I chose to calmly and quietly share how I see them—as the truly amazing person they are.

“You are a giving, sharing, loving partner, parent, and friend. Someone with so much wisdom and life experience that helps you connect deeply with others. Just by being in your presence, people feel seen and heard. You make people feel better. This is what you offer the world, my friend—wholly, fully, by being you in the only way you know how to be.”

Sometimes, we need others to hold up the mirror and reflect back the truth of who we are. And the truth is: they are already incredible, just as they are. And so are you.

Why Wait?

So here’s a question: Why wait to start believing in your own greatness? Why wait for a new year, a new week, or even a new day to start seeing yourself for who you are? The moment you’re in right now is as good a time as any.

You don’t need someone else to tell you that you’re amazing (like a spouse, partner, parent, boss). You don’t need external validation (a title, belongings, or net worth). You don’t need to tick off every box on some mental checklist of “worthiness” (your expectations). Because here’s the thing: self-worth isn’t something you achieve; it’s a state of being. It’s who you are. And the sooner you choose to “see” it, the sooner you’ll start living with the kind of freedom, confidence, and joy that only comes from embracing your own natural brilliance.

Start Today

What if, starting today, you chose to stop waiting for permission to think highly of yourself? What if you chose to let go of those self-doubts and fears, even just for a moment, and said: You know what? I AM pretty incredible.

You don’t need to have all the answers. You don’t need to have it all figured out. You just need to BE (and DO) your best in each moment. Being human means being perfectly imperfect, and that’s part of what makes you so remarkable.

Embrace Your Brilliance

So why not today? Why not now? Take a deep breath, and give yourself a moment to fully embrace this truth: you’re already amazing. (The Central Question might be helpful right now; Download this FREE Guide if you want to learn more). You’re the coolest person on the planet, and it’s not because of anything you’ve done or will do. It’s because of who you are.

Your self-worth isn’t dependent on perfection. It’s something that’s always been within you, waiting for recognition. And if you’re ready to shift how you think about yourself and step into this truth, let’s connect. You’ve got this—doubts, imperfections, and all. After all, you’re the coolest person on the planet.
